Language binds us together, inspires us, and provides us with common networks and avenues of expression. Gerhardt Editorial was established by Katie Gerhardt in response to her lifelong love and appreciation of language, as both a tool and an art form.
Katie earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and French, with a concentration in Creative Writing from Hollins University in 2015. At Hollins, she worked with and learned from published writers and poets and her work won the Andrew James Purdy Prize in short fiction.
Over the course of her career, she has worked as an administrative assistant, writer, editor, freelancer, and digital content specialist. Her work included drafting, editing, and reviewing short- and long-form content, from scientific manuscripts and grant applications to website copy and blog posts. She has worked across a variety of technical industries, including healthcare, life sciences, non-profit, technology, and information technology.
